Professor Peter Drahos co-authors report on the role of geographical indications in Australia's agriculture and food production

20 August 2015

A report on the role that geographical indications might play in Australia’s agriculture and food-producing regions was launched by the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation in Canberra on Wednesday 5 August 2015.

The authors of the report, Peter Drahos (Queen Mary University of London and Australian National University), William van Caenegem (Bond University, Queensland) and Jen Cleary (University of South Australia) found, amongst other things, that geographical indications might help regional communities in areas of high value food production such as King Island, Tasmania.
